- Well I got my hands on a GVP Amiga 2000-030 Rev. 4 accelerator a
- few days ago. As always I didn't get any docs, manual addendums or
- anything that will decribe what each jumper will do.
- So if you have any information on what ALL of the jumpers do I
- would be greatly in debt to you. If you have ny other information
- regarding the board don't hesitate to explain. Also I understand these
- boards aren't very reliable, espacially at the higher speed ratings (mine
- is 25mhz). So how reliable are these boards at the higher speed ratings?
- I was thinking of upgrading to maybe 40-50mhz but is its not reliable,
- e.g. crashing I won't do it. I mostly need to know which jumpers control
- ram and most importantly I need to know which jumper maps the memory out
- of the amiga's normal 24bit addressing range.
-
- Here are the jumpers. I'm listing them because they change per Rev.
-
- Ram side, bottom right side:
- J7
- J6
- J5
- J4
- J3
- J2
- J1
- I know this controls ram, but I don't know the configuration.
-
- CPU side, bottom right:
- J13
- J14
- J12
- Top next to CN3:
- J16
- J15
- Jumpers between CN2 and CN3:
- J10
- J11
- J9
- J8
- Bottom towards the header:
- J7
- J6
- What are the sockets for U34, U33, U25, and U24 for? What is the little
- header CN3 in the upper right corner of the CPU side for?
-
- Regarding memory. The only information I got is it requires
- something called nibble mode fast ram, bit does it? I figured it just
- required 60-80ns 30pin 32bit ram, but I could be wrong. Will this board also
- work with two 4meg simms or one 8meg simm? I also have a GVP memory
- expansion board in a zorro slot. This also requires 30pin simms but how
- can I tell what 30pin simms will work with the accelerator board? Is it the
- serial numbers or something else? What is the largest amount of ram that
- can be added?
-

- Thanks very much G.V. *:)

- this shows more than once, my news poster is kinda screwy.
